New book: Testing Rails from Scratch
I’ve been working on a thought experiment, using my time-tested approach to TDD with a (mostly) default Rails testing stack. I decided to make a book out of it: Testing Rails from Scratch: A (mostly) out-of-the-box approach to testing Ruby on Rails. First three chapters are available now from Leanpub.
If you liked my RSpec book, you may like this one as a spiritual successor (in fact, it’s already influencing opinions for future versions of that book). If you’re new to testing, you may enjoy this streamlined approach to building understanding and confidence as you build a full Rails test suite. Thanks for checking it out!
