Rapid RoR Server Deployment

Check out the Elastic Server On-Demand. It builds Elastic Servers(tm) which are are application stacks which can be dynamically constructed from component libraries and delivered in many virtualization-ready formats (VMware, Xen, Parallels, EC2 AMI).

The Rails parts Component Portal has everything (Rails 1.0 and 2.0) you need to build your own FREE elastic Rails server, and EC2 support so you can launch it right in the cloud!

That is indeed an interesting concept.

Wow, can’t believe I haven’t seen this before. Interesting!

Nice to see that there are companies devoting expertise on easily managed Rails deployment!

You can add MorpheXchange to the list that have innovative platforms(as a Service)fully configured plus can scale on the fly.

So why does Google App Engine get all the hype?

Best. alain

Just wanted to add that not only does Elastic Server let you build rails stacks, but it is built on Rails itself :-)

(I am the core engineer responsible for most of the web frontend so please send me your complaints)

Got my first Rails app up and running today on it, with a few hiccups, it ended up working flawlessly. Very cool platform for launching Rails apps.
