Ruby Bytes, or generating standalone generators

Ruby Bytes, or generating standalone generators

While Head of Backend Vladimir Dementyev was working on an upgrade for his post Ruby on Whales, (about dockerizing Ruby and Rails development) he realized having a Rails-agnostic mechanism to create and distribute application templates was valuable on its own.

Thus, Ruby Bytes was born! It’s a toolkit for building, deploying, and installing Rails-like app templates for Ruby apps, so you can build standalone Ruby app templates—with or without Rails. He’s bringing rails app:template to the whole Ruby world (and beyond!)
