Yeah, too bad, I hope MacRuby enjoys a healthy future but Apple disowning and distancing itself from the project was obvious for a long time (months ago). People still contribute though, watson & co put in a lot of hard work.

I don’t think they dropped it as much as passively didn’t acknowledge any future plans. Microsoft donated IronRuby to an open source developer. Both pretty passive actions and not dropping imho.
