I like the idea of Copycopter, particularly the client side gem to synchronise and publish content, but I wasn’t a fan of their web interface, or paying a monthly fee for what is in practice a really simple application.

In response to that I did what any self-respecting developer would do, and built an open source server for it called Copycat which will run on a free Heroku account.
