The “article” emphasizes Joyent’s load balancers’ contributions much more than Rails itself (almost making it sound like “despite Rails, we managed to scale to 1 billion pages per month”).

I think it is an impressive achievement, but I would love to know what the hardware footprint is for that app. It is running in a cloud, but how many slices are devoted to it? Great video though…
