Meet Ace: A New Generational Static Sites Generator!

I bet you know Nanoc, Webby and similar tools. Well, forget them and take a look at Ace! Sources of my blog are written in Ace and they are available on GitHub, check them! I also wrote an introduction to Ace, take a look if you want to know more!

Why you should use Ace?

  • It’s designed for dynamic content. Generating pages for tags etc is no longer a problem!
  • It has nice, plain old Ruby design. You can use inheritance and everything. Classes and instances instead of stupid helpers!
  • Ace gives you powerful tools instead of convention. How you organise your posts, tags and everything, it’s up to you.
  • It has template inheritance – yay!
  • It has filters for Sass, syntax highlighting via Pygments etc.
