RailsBridge is Born!
Last week’s Ruby/Rails incident was not entirely just about drama - a new community, RailsBridge has been formed to address some of the issues.
Made a library? Written a blog post? Found a useful tutorial? Share it with the Ruby community here or just enjoy what everyone else has found!

HAHAHA! Good one guys, good one..!
What the fuck is this shit?
I surely don’t have to introduce last week’s Ruby/Rails earthquake to anyone by now...it was a rather unpleasant drama piece, but fortunately it shed light on some problems the Ruby/Rails communities are facing...If you’ve been lurking the rails community for any period of time, you would know this type of nonsense is a monthly occurrence. Someone does or says something mildly offensive, someone decides to be offended and blogs about it, the twitter’ers start twittering, someone flips their shit and decries the whole community, next the php/perl/etc agenda shows up with their “i can’t say i know anything about rails, but…” hypocritical rants, and finally the “what did we learn this week” after-school-special’esc blog posts close out the whole show. Meanwhile a badass new gem/project gets released/started, and coverage is overshadowed by the “real news” of the week.
Thank god this obsession with “rockstar” programmers is from those who are decidedly not.
yet another rush for fame. soon i’ll create a community only for myself.
rockstars vs goatees, everyone can nominate now her/his own enemy
If this is in response to that CouchDB talk with pictures of chicks how is this Rails related at all?
I’m going to start a Ruby community for Rubyists who understand the language is called Ruby and not Ruby/Rails!
I don’t like this post so I’m forming a new community about it called CommentCastle.
U FAIL.
Wow it seems that most Ruby/Rails sites don’t have trolls because they all congregate here. Amazing.
@Jeremy. The sheer ridiculousness of the whole saga doesn’t warrant serious comment.
E.g. I’m going to start a community only for people who can identify sarcastic humor without emoticons.
