Sorry but I don’t understand, what’s wrong with Groovy?

I love Ruby, but what’s wrong with doing things in other language? Or is it because someone from high above with no technical clue dictates so?

I cannot in good faith recommend Ruby to someone who wants it to win because it is Ruby. I believe, yes I say I believe, there’s no fact in here that one should do fair comparisons. Let the best for a particular project be the one that wins that project.
