Ruby on Rails for Student Recruitment
A new open source software is nearing beta that will help bring Ruby on Rails deeper into the halls of higher education.
RubyCampus is a relationship management system for admissions, strategic enrollment management and alumni development that has been under development by a team in Fukuoka, Japan.
It has been designed for higher education to organize an institutions mission and its priorities; to assist it in student recruitment, increasing enrollment yields while refining communications and improving overall campus diversity and student retention rates.
It can also be used in conjunction with one or more e-Learning platforms such as Moodle and Sakai with built in synchronization features and tools.
It is written in Ruby and is easy to install and use on Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, SunOS and BSD and offers a free and fully transparent open source alternative to commercial software.
