The SaaS Rails Kit now supports Authorize.net CIM, so now it's even easier to get going with subscription payments for your Rails app.

I created a php class for the Authorize.net CIM XML API back in December 2007.
I keep it updated. Take a look if your interested.
It is open-sourced. (LGPL).
